Bali Indonesia

Bali is an island in Indonesia as well be one of the provinces in Indonesia. Balinese located between Java and Lombok Island. Denpasar is the capital city located on the southern island. Bali is a majority of the population embraces Hinduism. In the world, Bali is known as tourism destination with a unique variety of art and culture, especially for foreign tourists.

Bali is renowned for its diverse and sophisticated art forms, such as painting, sculpture, woodcarving, handcrafts, and performing arts. Balinese percussion orchestra music, known as Gamelan, is highly developed and varied. Balinese dances portray stories from Hindu epics such as the Ramayana but with heavy Balinese influence. Famous Balinese dances include Pendet, Legong, Baris, Topeng, Barong, and Kecak (the monkey dance).

Bali traditional music has similarities with the traditional music in many other areas in Indonesia, for example in the use of Gamelan and other percussion.
