Sanur International Kite Festival

Denpasar (ANTARA News) - kite festival "Sanur International Kite Festival" held in Mertasari Beach, Sanur Beach area, Bali, 5-7 August 2011, followed by some 1,100 kites of various shapes and sizes.

Chairman of the Executive Committee Sanur International Kite Festival (SIKF), Kadek Dwi ARMIKA ST in Sanur, said Friday that activities intended to bring tourists from different regions and countries that are part of the Sanur Village Festival (SVF), which is scheduled to peak in November 2011.

Participants had registered some 1,100 kites from different countries. International participants who have delivered confirmation of its presence, among others, from Sweden, Australia, China, Korea, India, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

While the national participants, among others, from Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang and Bali hosts.

"For the local participants were recorded from the whole area in Bali," said Kadek Dwi Atmika explained.

Hold a festival this time the six categories, namely janggan teens, big janggan, bebean, typical bebean Sanur, pecukan and new creations (two-dimensional, three-dimensional and flat).

Kadek Dwi Atmika explained, photography competition is meant as a development program SVF kite festival which will provide space and opportunity for young photographers to harness the momentum and compete in this competition.
